Its not the end, but a new beginning...

This telescope has served me for years now, through cold winter and warm summer nights, I have pointed it at distant galaxies and faint nebulae as well as the Moon and planets. I have spent endless hours, struggling with adjustment, collimation, polar alignment, guiding, focus etc. At some point, I (reasonably) managed to overcome all the difficulties and challenges with the Telescope and the associated equipment, its rarely "plug and play":-) After a minor Telescope upgrade( Installing a more rigid spider vane for the secondary mirror, making the focuser tube more solid and doing a anti-light leak repair), this telescope could definitely deliver some decent images and has undoubtedly been my best telescope ever. But now a new telescope is underway which makes the old Skywatcher obsolete.

Probably the last pictures seen through the Skywatcher 200PDS:

About Me

Since my childhood, astronomy and space travel have been one of my greatest interests. I dreamed of exploring the universe with my own telescope and being able to image distant galaxies, stars and planets.
